At Queen Vee Chess Academy, we are dedicated to transforming lives through the power of chess. Founded with the belief that every child deserves a chance to thrive, we empower internally displaced children in Northern Nigeria with strategic thinking, emotional resilience, and a renewed sense of hope.
Through our flagship program, the Chess in IDP Camps Initiative, we use chess as a tool to address trauma, enhance critical thinking, and foster belonging among children affected by displacement. Our work is grounded in the idea that chess can be more than a game—it can be a pathway to healing and growth.
We have helped 50 children return to school, providing them with the opportunity to continue their education and build a brighter future.
We supported four boys from IDP camps to represent Adamawa State at the National Youth Games, with one of them achieving an impressive 4th place on Board 4.
